Freebies!!

Has anyone else heard abt Free Cycle?

From their Website:
Welcome! The Freecycle Network™ is made up of 4,803 groups with 6,578,000 members across the globe. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer (them's good people). Membership is free. To sign up, find your community by entering it into the search box above or by clicking on “Browse Groups” above the search box. Have fun!

This Freecycle group matches people who have things they need to get rid of with people who can use them. Our goal is to keep usable items out of the landfill. By using what we already have on this earth, we reduce consumerism, manufacture fewer goods, and lessen the impact on the earth. Another benefit of using Freecycle is that it encourages us to get rid of junk that we no longer need and promote community involvement in the process. Free your inner pack rat!

I would suggest if you decide to get an item or post an item that you meet the person at a populated place like a restaurant etc - never at your home or theirs.
My hsb recently got a air brush, model airplane parts and 3 rockets - all for free!
Please make sure you check their site out at
